We've Moved!

The Tonks group is an organometallic chemistry group at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Our goal is to make molecules in order to solve difficult problems in catalysis. We also study reaction kinetics and mechanism to develop new stoichiometric and catalytic processes.

Currently, we are developing Ti-based redox catalysis for the modular and facile construction of heterocycles and investigating new organometallic catalytic polymerization reactions for the practical synthesis of sustainable and biodegradable polymers.

Interested in joining the group? We are always looking for new students who are excited about organometallics and catalysis. Prospective undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students should contact Prof. Tonks at itonks(at)umn.edu, and provide a copy of their resume and the names of two references.
